What a STUNNING and beautifully run hotel by staff that makes you feel like you're part of a family. Abraham and the entire front desk/valet staff were our favorites and we had some great servers too. The views were amazing, the sound of beach and whale watching was incredible. We stayed Feb 9-13 and it was perfect for a short little trip (although could have loved more time there!) It's important to note that a lot of negative reviews are around the loudness/music or big crowds. We specifically booked without the weekend included knowing that's likely when they host weddings and have rooftop DJs. If you want a comfortable and quiet stay, book Sunday-Thursday/Friday. The music was a good volume during the day Housekeeping was top notch everything was very clean and the turn down service was something I've never experienced before (definitely won't be able to stay at a normal hotel ever again after this!!) Food - we ate breakfast and lunch on site each day and breakfast had a great menu available. People are usually up early here anyways and you eat right on the balcony overlooking the ocean. Lunch we had at the pool each day (chicken tacos and ceviche were incredible!!) We opted to go off property each night to explore local spots for dinners, but I do hear good things. While we booked on points, we were never treated differently than those paying for cash rooms - we were met with hospitality I've never experienced before and we will 100% be coming back in the future!! We love you Cape!!!

We checked in at The Cape, a Thompson Hotel on December 19 and checked out on December 24, and overall, our experience was a very good one. The service was solid and on par with many top hotels, though it did feel slightly lacking in certain areas when compared to true ultra-luxury brands. Understandably, it doesn’t exceed the standards of places like the Waldorf Astoria or the Ritz-Carlton, so I would rate the service around a 4 out of 5. The location was a major highlight. It deserves five stars very accessible, close to downtown Cabo, and perfect for quick and easy Uber rides. The rooms were also excellent. They were very spacious for two queen beds, and every room facing the ocean was a huge plus. In terms of amenities, the hotel doesn’t offer a wide variety, but the pool area really stood out. The main pool, hot tub, and connected bar were standout features and easily one of the best parts of the stay. The saltwater pool was also beautiful and elegant, though it felt calmer and less lively. Overall, the hotel felt classy, secure, and well-managed, with visible security at the entrance. The hotel felt kid-friendly for younger children, while also appealing to guests in their 20s and 30s, especially couples weddings seem to be a big focus here. The sunset views were outstanding and added a lot to the experience. Dining was good overall. Monte Restaurant had quality food, though the portion sizes were on the smaller side, something to keep in mind. The Ledge was excellent for the included breakfast buffet. While it wasn’t serviced at the same level as Esperanza, which sets a very high bar, it was still enjoyable. The French toast at The Ledge was a standout—large portion, very filling, and absolutely delicious. We spent a lot of time booking activities outside the hotel, including trips to downtown Cabo and a yacht experience, which were all fantastic and complemented the stay well. The rooftop was nice, though it really shines during weddings rather than on normal days. Still, we enjoyed dessert there after dinner, which made for a great evening experience. One important factor in our overall satisfaction was the deal we used. The holiday coupon included free breakfast for four and a $100 property credit, which made the stay feel absolutely worth it. Without that deal, I’m not sure the value would fully match the price. That said, I do think this is a hotel people should try at least once, especially for the pools, views, and overall atmosphere. There were a few areas for improvement. We noticed some wear and tear around the property, which felt out of place at this price point. For a hotel at this level, small details matter, and addressing these issues would bring it closer to the highest standard it’s capable of reaching.

Obsessed with this hotel is an understatement. The location is so great, one of the only hotels in Cabo with a view of the arch I woke up to the most amazing view everyday. The staff is incredible, so attentive and learn your names. I was celebrating being done with breast cancer and they sent pink macaroons, a handwritten note with a breast cancer ribbon, a bottle of tequila with fun stuff for a salt rim and a bottle of prosecco. Luis at the pool also gave us a cabana for no charge and shared his story of having lung cancer with me -he was so sweet and gracious and made my trip so special. Will be coming back! Food and rooms were also amazing.

The Cape exceeded my expectations in all categories, especially when it came to the service. Every member of the staff was genuinely warm and attentive. Small things, like the pool staff instinctively sensing if you needed something to eat or drink or adjusting the umbrella to block the sun. The amenities for a hotel of this size are great. There is a classy sunken bar on the main floor and a more lively roof top bar, both excellent. The food we had was great, and all the rooms are ocean view. Topping it off was a comfy swing on the balcony. A pleasure all around.

We came here due to a last-minute change of plans with the Park Hyatt's delayed opening. We had high hopes due to the reviews and fame. We were upgraded to the most incredible (and huge) villa room and got all the perks that that includes due to our issue with the Park Hyatt. All that being said, we were kind of unimpressed with the hotel. The room was huge, but the blow dryer was the same one you'd see at a motel. Lotions and other toiletries outside of shower supplies had to be requested. The breakfast buffet was very underwhelming. It was included in our upgraded stay, but I couldn't imagine paying $60pp for it. Everything is quite expensive, but if you're paying for this hotel that may not be a concern. The views are beautiful, but you can't go in the ocean (common in many parts of Cabo) and I believe it was on a public beach or at least it seemed that way with the number of people walking by and the photoshoots taking place. The gym is pretty nice. Didn't use spa services so can't speak to that. Again, we were treated great with the upgrade that we got and we had booked with points, but I would honestly struggle to justify paying the cash price that we would've had to pay otherwise.

Had the very best experience. The SERVICE is the best we had ever received. And genuinely kind smiling and attentive. Everything from start to finish. The housekeeping did fantastic. In our room minimum twice daily. Not just clean but makeup put away in it case cords wrapped up Igor for hair tools -everything you could imagine. Bottled sealed water available all the time. Breakfastswas amazing and everything we had was the best. and each person was wanting to help make your experience perfect! Everything! And Aldo out server at the pool was Superior! Couldn’t recommend more…

The Cape Hotel & Spa is a standout in Cabo, offering a perfect mix of modern design, relaxed luxury, and some of the best ocean views in the area. The architecture and open spaces make the entire property feel bright, airy, and effortlessly stylish. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and beautifully designed, with private terraces that are perfect for morning coffee or sunset drinks. The spa is a true highlight, peaceful, well-curated, and ideal for fully unwinding after a day in the sun. The food and drinks are excellent, especially the rooftop bar and restaurant. Creative cocktails, fresh ingredients, and a great menu make it an easy place to spend an entire evening without wanting to leave the property. Service is warm and attentive, and the overall vibe feels refined but never stiff. Whether you’re visiting for a romantic getaway, a relaxing escape, or a special occasion, The Cape delivers a memorable, high-quality experience in Cabo. Highly recommend.

We were relocated to The Cape just 4 days before our trip due to the delayed opening of the Park Hyatt, and arrived with two young children (including a 5-month-old). The circumstances were challenging, but several team members truly went above and beyond to take care of our family and make the trip memorable. The ocean views, architecture, and design of the property are stunning, and the VIP cabana service at the pool was one of the highlights of our stay. Christian and his team were phenomenal—warm, attentive, and consistently thoughtful. They made us feel genuinely cared for every day. We also want to recognize Sophia at The Ledge, whose hospitality stood out. She anticipated our needs, made our daughter feel special, and delivered the kind of service that elevates the experience. We look forward to returning under less stressful conditions and experiencing the hotel again.
